What I Believe

I’m a believer in a laissez-faire, hands off political society. Following the tradition of market liberalism, I believe in the fundamental dignity of the individual, as well as the free exchange of goods and services, ideas, people, and capital. These are the principles that made the world prosperous, and will enrich any society today. However, there remain chains that shackle the free enterprise system everywhere, and chains that stifle the desire for individuals to live life as they see fit. This is unfortunate and should change.

I’m also an idealist, in the sense that positive change is possible. This does not come by mere complaining or superficial political activities, but rather, by spreading good ideas in the climate of opinion. Society is what individuals believe.
